I have three sisters and two brothers. When I was young, I was taken to the orphanage in Titanyen.
I was the only one from the six brothers and sisters who was taken to the orphanage. It was difficult, but I knew that God was always with me. I think he had a different plan for me.
When I was 10, I moved to Mission of Hope. Mission of Hope—it’s a place that shows you what God can do.
When I was growing up, I wanted to be a pediatrician. But now I want to be a business woman. I study very hard. Math is my favorite subject because if you want to be a business woman, you need to be good at math.
After school I work at the Market of Hope. I learn a lot of things: how to serve people, how to do customer service, inventory, and how to work as a team.
I think business can help Haiti, because when you do business you can make a lot of money. But me, why I want to be a business woman, it’s to help a lot of kids who are like me.
When other kids come to me and say, “I don’t eat” or “I don’t have a better life,” I can understand it because I was almost the same as them. But God gave me a better life.
I will work so hard to make money to help my country.
I think that if I wasn’t at Mission of Hope, I think my life would have been different. I am 21 now. I probably would have had two or three kids before I got married. Maybe I would not know Jesus.
I think God brought me to Mission of Hope to get an education, a better life, and a better future.
