Transition Home Expansion
As more of our children age out of the Village of Hope, there is a need to expand the Transition Home.
Project Status: Fundraising
The transition home currently provides the young men and women from our orphanage with a stable and structured living environment from 18-25 years of age, but with more responsibilities and independence.

Due to government age limits, they “age out” on their 18th birthday, meaning they must leave the orphanage that has been their home, despite the fact that they have not finished high school by the time they are 18. This often means that these young men and women cannot complete their education, which in turn makes it difficult to get jobs and ultimately tends to spiral them onto a path of poverty.

The transition home provides these young men and women with a stable and structured living environment from 18-25 years of age, but with more responsibilities and independence. They receive hands-on training and practice in preparation for life, careers, works of service, and a vision for their country, as they finish high school. Through one-on-one discipling, individualized development plans, and continuing educational opportunities, these young adults are prepared for life after the orphanage. Ultimately, they will move on to lead their own homes, provide for their families, and make disciples in their own communities, as they are equipped to purse the vision of life transformation for their country. Facilities include a kitchen, 8 resident homes, one parent house and perimeter walls with independent access to Route 1. As more of our children age out of the Village of Hope, there is a need to expand the Transition Home. We have run out of space for the girls and need to build one more unit.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Our Transition house offers a safe place for our children to change and grow into young adults. A personalized life track is set for each young adult based on their goals and calling. We offer the resources, tools, and life skills needed to meet the challenges that soon await them outside the walls. They will learn to hold down a job while furthering their education and balancing their monthly budget. Please consider supporting them on their journey!
