Mission of Hope offers multiple internship opportunities to qualified individuals who have a heart to see life transformation in Haiti. We offer internships at our campuses in Titanyen and Bercy as well as our Baptist Haiti Mission (BHM) campuses in Fermathe and Le Phare. Our current Haiti internship program consists of three sessions (Spring, Summer, Fall), each lasting 3-4 months. While in Haiti, interns help the operations on the ground run more smoothly, ultimately helping Mission of Hope continue its vision of bringing life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. The Business Development Intern will primarily focus on supporting and monitoring key business operations in Haiti including the Market of Hope, Kingdom Grounds, and other business initiatives as determined by their Direct Report.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Monitor and report on status of assigned business operations in Haiti and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Manage and track key inventory levels for business operations and ensure enough supply is on hand to meet needs at optimal costs.
Assist in sales and financial analysis
Document key business processes and recommend and implement process improvement opportunities to optimize operations.
Perform any necessary business operations tasks for store and coffee shop as needed including staffing, inventory tracking, movement, and procurement.
Effectively communicate to customers how purchases in the market and coffee shop impact life transformation.
Create an environment in the coffee shop that fosters intentional conversations and quality relationship building.
The Sponsorship Intern will be responsible for supporting our Sponsorship staff in daily tasks and promoting Sponsorship among team members in any way possible. You are the Cheerleader for all facets Sponsorship!
Primary Job Responsibilities
Setting up information tables at nightly programming.
Speaking with team members at Guest House about Sponsorship and its process.
Church Advancement Interns will work alongside the Mobilization intern coordinator and Church Advancement Coordinator to ensure effective communication and execution of team’s Church Advancement Projects. They will act as a liaison between MOB interns and Village Champions for daily team activities.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Be prepared to know daily activities of each team.
Communicate clearly with Village Champions and Interns regarding the plans and projects of each team.
Monitor Village Champion engagement with teams in the village.
Provide constructive feedback on how activities go in the village.
Be responsible at meal times to facilitate communication between VCs, MOB Interns and team leaders.
Answer any questions regarding Church Advancement Projects.
The Construction Intern will work along side existing US staff, and teams, to provide hands on physical help or to serve as an intermediary between US team members and the Haitian staff.
Primary Job Responsibilities
The construction intern will assist our construction teams in Haiti and provide help as needed in various situations on projects.
No previous construction experience is required but strong preference for those looking to enter the construction field and/or project management.
When construction projects or duties are not needed, Intern will work along side others in mobilization as a Hospitality Intern (see attached next page).
The Medical Intern will work alongside the Medical Coordinator & Director assisting with all medical processes.
Primary Job Responsibilities
The medical intern will assist our medical coordinator in the operations of our medical programs including mobile medical clinics, community health, and medical outreach.
No previous medical experience is required but strong preference for those looking to enter the medical field. These programs all have a heavy focus on evangelism and discipleship so a desire to serve in this way is necessary.
NOTE: We are only accepting applications for 2019 Summer Medical internships from licensed personnel (i.e. RN, NP, Paramedic) as other spots have now been filled.
Mobilization Teams Interns will work alongside the Mobilization Coordinator and the Mobilization Director to execute all logistics and scheduled processes for our on ground mission trips including sharing vision, coordinating village projects, and implementing ministry days.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Share the vision of Mission of Hope through campus tours and all time spent with teams.
Manage and equip work projects in villages.
Coordinate ministry days in the villages with the village champions.
Collect and organize all donations brought by teams.
Implement our philosophy of ministry and discipleship with teams through out the week.
General hospitality, including organizing meals and supporting our kitchen staff.
Being available to support our staff in any way necessary.
The Mobilization Video Team will work alongside the Director of Mobilization and the Mobilization Team to provide our guests with a highlight video from their mission trip to Haiti.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Create base template for weekly video.
Create a 3-4 minute highlight video for every team each week.
Accompany the teams in the village to capture activities.
Video interview 1-2 team members about their experience in Haiti.
Work alongside and train and mentor Transition Home apprentice.
Capture stock B-Roll for future teams and projects.
Manage all video supplies to ensure they are used and stored appropriately.
The Project Management Office (PMO) Intern will work along side existing US staff and Haiti leadership on completing and supporting critical tasks within a set list of active, developing projects and programs.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Interact with various functional leaders, cross-departmentally, to complete specific tasks and checklists to maintain timeline and progress on projects.
Responsible to using project management software to report daily and weekly progress and updates on projects.
Support the Haiti Operations team as needed in areas such as Fleet Management, inventory management, and Facilities Management.
Additionally, individuals with specific skillsets outside of these areas are also encouraged to apply. Interns MUST be at least 18 years old.

Intern Fund-Raising & Compensation
A minimum of $615/month must be raised to cover living expenses and must be received by MOH before arrival in Haiti.
A maximum of $2,115/month can be raised so interns can receive compensation. Interns will receive the difference between the amount raised and living expenses ($615/month) when their internship is complete. For example, if an intern raises $2,115/month, then he/she will receive $1,500/month as compensation (less taxes).
Interns must provide their own airfare to/from Haiti. This amount can be raised through support. Interns are also required to raise/donate a non-refundable Travel Contingency Fee of $200 to cover possible extra travel to other MOH properties or potential flight change fees for unforeseen circumstances.
